The establishment of the Sudanese Powerboat Racing and Formula 4 Federation has received the support of the Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM) Council, following an initiative led by the Black Pharaoh Team to establish an official body representing powerboat racing in Sudan.
The newly established federation has been granted UIM Corresponding Membership, paving the way for Sudan to be represented within the international powerboating community. The membership is expected to be formally ratified at the 99th UIM General Assembly in Portugal, subject to approval by UIM members.
The administrative milestone comes alongside the growing international presence of the Black Pharaoh Team. Throughout the 2025 and 2026 seasons, the team has competed across regional and international championships, including the UAE Formula 4 Powerboat Championship and the UIM Formula 4 World Championship.
The 2026 season has marked a particularly successful year for the team, highlighted by Adam Wrenkler’s Formula 4 European Championship title, alongside strong performances at major international events across Europe.
The recognition from the UIM represents an important step forward for the development of powerboat racing in Sudan, creating new opportunities for Sudanese athletes and strengthening the country’s presence within the international powerboating community.
